Our Founder
Blessed Francesco Maria Greco
Blessed Francesco Maria Greco, the illustrious founder of the Congregation of the Sisters, Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts (LWSH), stands as a paragon of visionary leadership and altruistic service. Born on July 26, 1857, in Sila, Southern Italy, and serving as a devoted priest in the town of Acri, he emerged as a trailblazer in the universalization of education, championing its accessibility to all sections of society. His benevolent endeavors extended far beyond education, as he devoted himself to nurturing the young, ministering to the elderly, and providing compassionate care to the sick and marginalized.
Renowned for his forward-thinking philosophy, Blessed Francesco Maria Greco believed in delivering an education imbued with ethical values, fostering the holistic development of individuals who would become agents of social transformation and progress. Inspired by his enduring legacy, we remain steadfast in upholding his mission. Guided by an educational framework that aligns with the Church’s national policy and infused with the timeless spirit of the LWSH tradition, we endeavor to cultivate environments where knowledge, virtue, and leadership flourish harmoniously.
