Welcome to Vijayamatha Public School

“Empowering the Kuttanadan community through education, Vijayamatha Public School, founded by Vijayamatha Convent in 2002, has been a beacon of knowledge and growth in Koduppunna.”

This was part of the mandate of the founding father of the LWSH Congregation. When the convent was founded in 2002, the Vijayamatha Elementary School was started. Realizing the condition in the locality and seeing the great demand for the C.B.S.E. system all over India and abroad, the management introduced the C.B.S.E. system, and the school was renamed Vijayamatha Public School in 2004. The school was formally affiliated with the C.B.S.E. in 2013 up to Class X.

The vision that upholds Vijayamatha belongs to Blessed Francesco Maria Greco, who was a saint and social reformer. Blessed Francesco Maria Greco was one of the missionaries who dedicated his life to the upliftment of society from illiteracy, superstition, and inhuman practices. That profound vision of the saintly priest led to the establishment of numerous schools in Italy, America, Argentina, Albania, and India. Each LWSH school is a beacon that transforms the society of which it is an integral part. Vijayamatha Public School has played that role of a beacon in Koduppunna with its sublime aims and objectives.

Our History

Vijayamatha Public School is an educational initiative of the Vijayamatha Convent, Koduppunna. Since its founding in 2002, the convent has been deeply committed to the education and empowerment of the Kuttanadan peasant community.

Inspired by the mandate of the founding father of the LWSH Congregation, the convent established Vijayamatha Elementary School in the same year. Recognizing the educational needs of the locality and the growing demand for the C B S E curriculum across India and abroad, the management introduced the C B S E system in 2004, renaming the institution as Vijayamatha Public School.

The profound vision of the saintly priest, Blessed Francesco Maria Greco, led to the establishment of numerous schools in Italy, America, Argentina, Albania, and India. Each LWSH school serves as a beacon of transformation, fostering education and social upliftment. Vijayamatha Public School has proudly upheld this mission in Koduppunna, striving to shape a brighter future through its noble aims and objectives.
